The United Nations  Education Fund (UNICEF) will today re- appoint Nigeria football star Nwankwo Kano as UNICEF Nigeria’s Goodwill Ambassador.

The event which is taking place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, according to UNICEF Representative in Nigeria, Dr. Suomi Sakai, will see Kanu the second time as UNICEF ambassador.

Sakai said after the ceremony, UNICEF will accompany him (Kanu) on a visit  to the Child Rights and Rehabililtation Network (CRARN) shelter in Ikot Afaha in Esit-Eket where more than a hundred children who have been rejected by their families claiming that they are witches live.
