ABUJA— Following the increasing spate of allegations of brutality and unprovoked harassment leveled against officers of the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, the Archbishop of Abuja Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend John Onaiyekan, has called upon Nigerians to commit the seeming problem of insecurity in the country in the hands of God.
According to him, the law enforcement agency in the country needs spiritual reformation.
The cleric, who implored the police authorities to ensure that it gave more quota to chaplains and spiritually-minded citizens in its recruitment plan, stressed that it was the only way to ensure credibility and efficiency in the service which, in-turn, would engender confidence in the citizenry.
