OWERRI—The Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, Dr. Anthony J.V. Obinna, has reacted angrily to a newspaper advertorial credited to an organization that called itself “Catholic Women Forum”.

Archbishop Obinna, who made his feelings known during an interview in Owerri, was particularly irked that some faceless human beings opted to hide under a non-existent umbrella organization to get at their supposed enemies.

“There is no such group as Catholic Women Forum in the Archdiocese of Owerri. The authentic women group in the Catholic Church is Catholic Women Organization, CWO.

“The group that calls itself Catholic Women Forum is alien to this Archdiocese or any other diocese,” Obinna fumed.
The Catholic cleric said the Archdiocese did not and has not seen any need to ask anybody or group to place a newspaper advert on its behalf to disparage anybody or group or inflame the polity.
