Sunshine Stars of Akure have their hands full this weekend as they host Esperance on Sunday in the first game of  the CAF Champions league group stages.

The Tunisian club-side stopped Sunshine in the semi-finals of last season’s Confederations Cup after they played out a goalless draw at the Gateway Stadium, Ijebu-Ode. However, coach Gbenga Ogunbote said that his boys are fully prepared for the match adding that they are not under any pressure.

“We are fully prepared and ready for the match. We are no strangers to the Tunisians, we know that a win will do us good and so that is what we are aiming for.

He added that being the only Nigerian club in continental battle this season was not putting pressure on the the team. Ogunbote said like every other club in contention for the title Sunshine’s aim is to do well and get to the final.
