Nebe’s victory at the March 28, 2015 National Assembly election was affirmed by the three -man Anambra State election petition tribunal headed by Justice Nayai Aganaba, which dismissed the petition of the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Godson Ezenagu, for lack of merit.

Addressing reporters in Awka, Nebe said God clearly used his lawyers to ensure that his victory at the polls was not upturned, expressing gratitude to God for what he described as “the grace God has consistently showered on me in spite of my shortcomings as a politician.”

He said further: “I will also not hesitate to appreciate Chief Arthur Obi –Okafor, SAN, who was my lead counsel, Chief Emeka Etiaba, SAN, who was the PDP lead counsel and Chief J .J. Ezeuko, SAN, who was the INEC lead counsel. They are all great men.”

The federal lawmaker said the victory would spur him to work harder to improve the welfare of the people of his constituency by making sure that their voice was not lost in the House of Representatives.

He also spoke on the ministerial nominees before the Senate, describing the 21 –member list as a mixed grill.

He added: “There is the good, the bad and the ugly in that list. There are some people in that list who are morally bankrupt and are even not worthy to be appointed as local government officials because they are excessively corrupt.”
