The retired Super Eagles star earlier made it crystal clear that Iorfa Jnr will not switch allegiance to Nigeria until he clocks 23, and that is if he has not played competitively for the senior team of England.

“I don’t know where they keep getting these fake stories about my son (Dominic Iorfa Jnr), “ said Dominic Iorfa Snr.

“He has not been contacted to play for the Nigerian Olympic Team, and will not represent Nigeria in the Olympics. “

Dominic Iorfa Snr is one of the most respected football figures in his homeland but it has been  confirmed that the England U21 international can not represent the Dream Team VI in Brazil.

The Southend-on-Sea – born stopper has played competitively for England youth team and it will take ages for the Nigeria Football Federation to complete the paperwork required for him to play for Nigeria.

For the same reason, Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo was not considered for the Olympic Games in Brazil.
