Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has dedicated the team’s  4-0 drubbing of the Indomitable Lions to ailing Carl Ikeme who is down with  Lukaemia.“He said “before the match we pledged to win it for Carl and that we delivered tonight,”“Rohr was full of praise for stand-in goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa who kept a clean sheet against the Cameroon.

“He kept well, just like the defence showed a lot of organisation and discipline.”“Rohr  outlined his target in Cameroon thus: “We need 11 points to qualify and now we have 9. We must avoid defeat in Cameroon and fight for the remaining point in the remaining two matches against Algeria and Zambia.”

The Eagles gaffer hailed skipper John Obi Mikel for his outstanding leadership display and experience brought to bear on the team.

“He is our leader and he showed it today. He surprised me because he has played very little football for about six months now. For him to have put in so much means a lot to the team.”“Rohr praised the entire team, particularly wingers Victor Moses and Moses Simon.

“We had a good mix of experience and youth which was key to our victory. It is not finished yet that is why we remain very humble.”
