WARRI— Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Mr. Daniel Reyenieju has called on youths from the three Warri local government areas to encourage infrastructural development by providing enabling environment for government and contractors for projects execution.

Reyenieju made this known yesterday in Abuja while reacting to allegations of youths demanding for money and various items from contractors.

According to the lawmaker, “it is absurd for youths or community to demand for money instead of job opportunities from contractors posted to execute projects that will be of benefits to such community.

“It is an aberration for some well-meaning youths to use their time and resources towards advocating for infrastructural development while some self-seeking, form the habits of obstructing development.

“Government should be encouraged to site developmental projects in our various communities and their efforts should not be frustrated by the unavailability of the necessary peaceful atmosphere.

“Government will not hesitate to relocate projects from any community that wants to disrupt development activities to a community that is willing to co-operate with government and contractors.”

“No individual or community that is yearning for development  will indulges in demand for money  from contractors, community leaders should take steps in putting an end to such activities”, he added.
