Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar says that with the support of his teammates, he can surpass Brazil legend Pele as his nation’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Pele is currently the record goalscorer for Brazil with 77 goals from 92 caps during his playing time.
Neymar has, however, netted 74 goals with just three goals left to equal Pele’s record.
“God willing… I hope to get past him,” Neymar was quoted as saying (via Telefoot on Twitter).
“I’m going to talk to my teammates about it and tell them to get me scored now so I can finally get there.”
