Guard your star jealously, else you lose it— Babasebioba

Guard your star jealously, else you lose it— Babasebioba

By Alifia Sunday

Apostle Solomon Moses M u s t a p h a (Babasebioba) has tasked believers to beware of forces that make them labour in vain, assuring the of God’s readiness to liberate them from every form of bondage.

The General Overseer took his sermon from the book of 1Samuel 15:7-23 in which God instructed Saul to attack the Amalekites.

“There are forces that makes one to labour in vain, you work tirelessly and no result. In Psalm 127: 1 “Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labour in vain. Unless the LORD watches overthecity, thewatchmenstand guard in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat– for he grants sleep to those he loves.

As an oracle of God , I declare that those forces would be destroyed by this prophetic service in Jesus name” In Matthew 17:15, a man approaches Jesus and kneels before Him saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son… this day, God’s mercy will locate you in Jesus name” In the book of John 14:13 “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Whatsoever, you ask in his name, he does to ensure the name of the Lord is glorified” SeedofChristGoldenChurch, Land of Reality World-wide 3rd Sunday is always for deliverance, it is a moment God liberates his people from every form of bondage. In all our branches across the globe we should all expect the outpouring of apostolic blessing from God and this blessing will be replicated everywhere .

How great men lost their stars in the Bible Talking about the stars, you could be born as a star but stars can be demoted. Some of you would have seen your star as great persons in life, but somehow, it might not materialize, frustrated, self inflicted or the world decided to quench the star. Samson lost his star Samson’s star as ordained by God was to deliver the Israelites from the hands of the Philistines.

Samson was called by the Lord to help free the Israelites from the Philistines. Samson’s mission would require physical strength. The Lord made a covenant with Samson that as long as he obeyed the Lord, he would be physically strong. Samson’s long hair (Judges 13:5) was a sign of this covenant.

However, because of woman, his star was demoted. What are you doing at the moment? What has God committed into your hand that is fallen off because of the mundane things? Can you fall simply because of woman? I pray this day that you hold unto what God has given you so that the enemy will not take advantage of you in Jesus name. In Judges 16:19 the Bible said she began to torment him, and his strength left him. 19 Delilah lulled Samson to sleep with his head in her lap, and then she called in a man to shave off the seven locks of his hair. In this way she began to bring him down, and his strength left him and that heralded the fall of a great man.

Judas lost his star Judas sold his master because of 30 pieces of silver. According to the Gospel of Matthew, Judas Iscariot was a disciple of Jesus. Before the Last Supper, Judas went to the chief priests and agreed to hand over Jesus in exchange for 30 pieces of silver. Jesus was then arrested in Gethsemane, where Judas revealed Jesus’ identity to the soldiers by giving him a kiss.

Matthew 26:15 ..Judas killed himself…When Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he repented and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. He said, ‘I have sinned by betraying innocent blood. ‘ But they said, ‘What is that to us? See to it yourself. He later commit suicide, loosing life and everything. Becauseofmoneyhe loses his own soul and salvation.

The Bible said the love of money is the root of evil. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving for money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:10) Judaslost his star to the greediness . Haman lost his star Haman was the second in command of the king but because of his greediness, destruction came upon him …Mordecai’s nemesis is Haman. Though Haman has everything going for him, he didn’t enjoy it.

ThisisbecauseMordecairefuses to give Haman the respect he thinks he deserves. Haman so hates Mordecai that he wants to kill him, along with all the other Jews throughout the kingdom. Do not underate anyone. What Haman thought could happen to Modecai turned back at him(Esther 8:7) Saul lost his star Again another man in the Bible who was anointed as king was Saul.

God said go and kill the Amalikites and return with nothingbutbecausehepreffered the things of the world he returned home with some spoils (1 Samuel 15:7-23) He took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and all other things. Because of this, he lost his star, he was dethroned and David took over.

Gehazi lost his star Elijah carried a great anointing, he trained another man like himself and his name was Elisha. The Bible said, Elisha followed the step of his master, but he had a servant called Gehazi whose level of greediness later landed him in a curse. A servant of the prophet Elisha, Gehazi enjoyed a position of power but was ultimately corrupt, misusing his authority to cheat Naaman the Syrian, a general afflicted with leprosy. As punishment, Elisha cursed Gehazi, transferring Naaman’s leprosy to him and his descendants forever. (2kings 5:19-27).

Reuben lost his star Reuben slept with his father’s concubine…”Reuben, youaremy firstborn, my might, the first sign of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power. Turbulent as the waters, you will no longer excel, for you went up unto your father’s bed, unto my couch and defiled it. ” Absalom lost his star Absalom was another example. He was to be the king, but he killed his brother. Amnon had done such a terrible thing to you! But since he’s your brother, don’t tell anyone what happened.

Absalom ordered his men, “Listen! When Amnon is in high spirits from drinking wine and I say to you, ‘strike Amnon down,’ then kill him. Hasty decision could land you in trouble (2 Samuel 13:23). Absolom was too in a haste In our time today, several people want to be like Bola Tinubu, Governor Makinde, some pastors even want to be like David Oyedepo immediately without taking into cognisance where all these people started. Wait for your time for everyone of us has a God-givien time.

Stop rushing and be patient. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Gradually you will surely get to your destination. You must serve as servant before becoming a master Job fell, but his later day was greater than his beginning.(Job 42:12-17).
