Who stopped Pan Africans in Ghana?

Govt borrowings unproductive — Peter Obi rakes over Nigeria’s debt profile

Whoever cancelled the Pan African Convention initially scheduled for January 7, where Mr Peter Obi and other world leaders were to speak, should be regretting that action considering the ensuing protest by the students.

Thank God that was not here in Nigeria, they would have been ‘blown away’ by overzealous officers.

Some Netizens believe that the cancellation was either the handwork of some folks in the Nigerian government who do not want Obi to keep shining or that the Ghanaian authorities are afraid of letting their youths take up their rightful position in their fatherland.

That can’t be untrue you know. All these corrupt African leaders who liaise with some ‘colonial masters’ to steal wealth from the continent know that the moment the youths’ eyes clear, a drastic change will take place.

You doubt that? Read a part of the statement by the student representative during their protest.

“To the best of my knowledge, almost all student leaders in this country were invited to this convention because it is a convention that will ignite the voices of Africa.

“They know this is a convention that we would have listened to Leaders from other countries. Then I heard that powers from above have stopped the program. I’m sad.”

That protest is proof that whoever cancelled the programme that was approved last year, is wasting his time.

Obi to many, is like pregnancy that cannot be concealed and African youths are visibly hungry for vibrant models to help them take over the continent.

I didn’t say that; the Ghanaian student rep did: “With Peter Obi on the flier? I’ll spend the last penny to be here!

“I stand here as the General Secretary of the over 12.5 million Ghana students of this country.”
