Crystal Palace vs Man City: Preview, team news, head-to-head

Crystal Palace vs Man City: Preview, team news, head-to-head

In a gripping title race, Manchester City travels to Crystal Palace and will hope for a Liverpool and Arsenal stumble, while the top four battle and relegation survival fight are also heating up.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, City manager Pep Guardiola said he’s unsure if Erling Haaland and Kevin DeBruyne will return to the team after the pair were unused substitutes in midweek as the defending champions brushed Aston Villa aside 4-1, with Phil Foden bagging a hat-trick.

City are third in the Premier League after the midweek fixtures, three points behind leaders Liverpool and one behind second-placed Arsenal.

Palace, meanwhile, sits in 14th, eight points above the relegation zone. They are winless in four under new boss Oliver Glasner following a narrow defeat against in-form Bournemouth in midweek and have only picked up three points once since January.

Team News

Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise is set to return after missing seven games, although manager Oliver Glasner confirms the midfielder will be limited to 15-20 minutes.

Defender Chris Richards, who suffered an injury against Nottingham Forest last weekend, is out for up to three weeks. Also, Cheick Doucoure, Matheus Franca, Marc Guehi, Rob Holding, Sam Johnstone, and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi are all injured.

Goalkeeper Ederson Morales could make a return for City, while Nathan Ake and Kyle Wlaker will miss the game.
