“This government is committed to ensuring that every citizen has access to quality healthcare services without discrimination. We have been working tirelessly to position the One Health approach as a major strategy along with other high impact interventions.”

He disclosed that the state government, as part of measures to improve on the health care delivery in the state and address the shortage of health personnel in government hospitals due to brain drain, had recently commenced the employment and deployment of more human resources such as Doctors and Nurses across the 66 secondary health facilities in the state.

Noting that the process for recruitment of other cadre of health personnel was almost completed, Onojaeme said: “Furthermore, we have procured and distributed hospital equipment across both Secondary and Primary Health Care facilities, enhanced skills by building the capacity of health care workers across the state.”
