Hajj 2024: Bauchi restates commitment to improve safety, comfort of pilgrims

Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has restated its determination to provide adequate safety and security during Hajj operation, just as it acknowledged the cooperation of security agencies at the last operation.

The Executive Secretary of the Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris made the pledged when he received the Acting Garrison Commander, 33 Artillery Brigade Garrison, Nigerian Army Corps of the Artillery Shadawanka Barrack, Bauchi in his office.

Receiving the Garrison Commander in his office, Imam Abdurrahman described the visit as first of its kind.

He expressed appreciation to the Garrison Commander and his team for their zeal to ensure an improved safety and security during Hajj operation, adding that welfare of state pilgrims remains a top priority of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad administration.

Imam Abdurrahman further urged them to sustain the gesture, assured his Board of unwavering support to in order for better services.

Earlier, the Acting Garrison Commander, Nigerian Army Corps of the Artillery Shadawanka Barrack, Bauchi, Lieutenant colonel Abdurrahman Modibbo said the visit was aimed at fostering a formidable partnership with the Bauchi pilgrims Board in area of maintaining security during Hajj operation.

According to him, a synergy between the Board and the military during Hajj operation cannot be overemphasized, stressing that his officers were ready to ensure a hitch free Hajj operation in Bauchi State.
