Four years after its initial release in April 2020, Angelika Belle’s song “Dreadlock” has unexpectedly taken the TikTok community by storm, racking up over 15,000 user-generated videos and trending in multiple countries, including Haiti, USA, Nigeria, and Seashells.

The song, a celebration of love and an ode to dreadlocks, has resonated with fans and music enthusiasts worldwide. Angelika Belle’s unique blend of Reggae, Afropop, and R&B/Soul has struck a chord, inspiring creativity and enthusiasm among TikTok users.

Angelika Belle, born Angelica Opufo Adindu in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria, began her music career as the lead singer of The Blue Pearls Band during her university days. She later moved to Lagos and gained recognition for her Reggae covers of Afrobeats songs on social media. Signed to the late Sound Sultan’s label, Naija Ninjas, in 2021, Angelika Belle has become a household name in her hometown, earning two award nominations at the Galaxy Music Awards.
