Senator Alimikhena raises alarm over hacked phone, cautions public against dealing with scammer

Senator Francis Alimikhena has advised the general public not to deal with any individual or group of individuals on his behalf as his main Glo line has been hacked by scammers.

A statement from his media office signed by Benjamin Atu, reads “The attention of Senator  Francis Alimikhena has been drawn to the activities of hackers, who are currently using his Glo number to send SMS, chat with people on Whatsapp, and also make phone calls demanding financial and material favours from the unsuspecting public.”

The general public is advised by this notice not to deal with anyone on behalf of Senator Francis Alimikhena via Whatsapp, Facebook, phone calls, or any other social media platform as the former Deputy Chief whip of the Senate doesn’t need any of such favour from anyone.

The statement called on members of the public to be guided and assist in spreading the information to those who may be affected for the sake of public safety and awareness the statement added.
