IKA association USA concludes 12th biennial convention, elects new officials

The IKA National Association, USA successfully concluded its 12th biennial convention from July 5-7, 2024, at the Hilton Atlanta Airport.

The event marked a significant milestone for the association, featuring a successful election of new officials to lead the organization forward.

The newly elected officials as announced in a statement signed by the association’s Publicity Secretary, Engr. Onyekachi Iseh include, Dr. Azuka Dibie, President; Mr. Gabriel Ogboi, Vice President; Engr. Onyekachi Iseh, National PRO; Mrs. Eunice Agbaifoh, Treasurer; Mrs. Blessing Odiboh, Financial Secretary; Mr. Jonah Iweka, General Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, President Dr. Azuka Dibie expressed gratitude for the support and trust bestowed upon him.

He emphasized the need for collective effort to achieve the association’s goals, which include fostering unity among members, creating a national database of Ika people in the USA, conducting constitutional reviews, and providing support for members in times of difficulty.

Dr. Dibie also highlighted the importance of engaging young members and promoting their involvement in the association’s activities. He underscored the need to enhance education, healthcare, security, and cultural values in Ikaland.

The newly elected president urged the executive team to commit to their roles and work diligently to make the association proud.

“Thank you,” Dr. Dibie concluded. “God bless Ika National Association USA! God bless Ikaland! God bless America!”
