A political advocacy group known as Udu Youths in Politics, based in Udu Local Government Area, has expressed their support for the nomination of Hon. Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor as a Commissioner designate by the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Representing the youth group, Comrade Goodluck Mukoro from Ovwian Community in Udu, mentioned that Uviejitobor’s nomination was not unexpected, given his impressive track record as a two-term member of the Delta State House of Assembly, which has earned him widespread admiration among the Udu people.

Comrade Mukoro emphasized that the former lawmaker has positively impacted lives and delivered the benefits of democracy to the people. He also highlighted that Hon. Uviejitobor’s open-door policy would provide youths with greater access to the government.

The group firmly believes that Uviejitobor’s nomination will bolster the party and cultivate grassroots support, as evidenced by the numerous congratulatory messages and support received since his nomination.

Similarly, the Coordinator of the PDP Wards Youth Leaders’ Forum in Udu LGA, Comrade Kolodi Jaho Godspower, stated that the selection of Hon. Uviejitobor was the ideal choice, noting that it has brought joy to the hearts of Udu residents, especially the youths in the area.

The youth leader highlighted Uviejitobor’s successful tenure representing Udu Constituency in the state assembly for two terms, which led to increased popularity due to the visible community projects he initiated.

It was pointed out by the coordinator that Uviejitobor’s accessibility and hard work within the PDP significantly contributed to the party’s success in the 2019 general elections. This victory marked the first time since 1999 that both the PDP Governorship Candidate and PDP House of Assembly Candidate emerged victorious.

The coordinator commended the former lawmaker, Hon. Uviejitobor, for his dedication to the development of Udu and encouraged everyone to support him, expressing confidence in his ability to excel in his designated role.

In addition to congratulating Hon. Uviejitobor on his promotion, the group expressed gratitude to the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Sheriff Oborevwor, for nominating Hon. (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor as a Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.
