Hopeville Foundation feeds thousands of less-privileged in Lagos communities

As part of their efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged in Lagos State, Hopeville Foundation distributed food items to thousands of residents in Bariga and Ojodu Local Government Areas through their founder, Dr Carolyna Hutchings and volunteers.

The Nollywood Actress and Entrepreneur have consistently supported government efforts to fight hunger and food insecurity in the country. They visited Bariga and Ojodu Area, to share food items to thousands of residents.

Hutchings said, “There could not be a better time to connect with the less privileged who do not have enough to eat.”

Their outreach mission aims to ensure their food truck reaches all local governments within Nigeria. They are inviting other businessmen and corporate organizations to join hands with them on this important mission.

“The founder, of Hopeville Foundation, Carolyna Hutchings, stated that the foundation was borne out of the desire to support the very vulnerable in the society and to reduce hunger in communities around Lagos. We love Nigeria and have committed ourselves to continuously support government efforts to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of Nigerians in our own small way.”

On the streets of Bariga, the elderly residents were overwhelmed with emotion as they received the food items. “We are so grateful for this kindness,” said one of the residents. “It’s been a while since we had a decent meal.”

In Banana, an area in Ojodu Local Governemt, the scene was similar, as thousands of residents gathered to receive the food items. “We are thankful for Carolyna Hutchings,” said a community leader.

“Their kindness has brought hope to our community, May God continue to bless them”
This gesture has reminded the locals that they are not alone in their struggles and that there are people who genuinely care about their well-being.

For one beneficiary, Yetunde Owolabi, a mother of two from the Ojodu community, the gesture couldn’t have come at a better time, as she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the organisations for the assistance.

“We are very grateful completely to Hopeville Foundation for this donation,” she shared happily. “Things have not been easy due to the current price hike, we have hope things will get better for us”.
