PRESIDENT of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Bishop Wale Oke, yesterday, urged President Bola Tinubu to hasten his renewed hope agenda insisting that Nigerians are hungry.

Addressing newsmen after a meeting with the National Executive Council of the organization in Lagos, Oke commended Nigerians for their patience despite the obvious hardship and insisted that the new minimum wage should be implemented quickly.

He said: “While we admonish Nigerians to be a little more patient, we are part of the grassroots and we feel the pains of Nigerians. We know the hardship will not last too long but we will continue to pray.

“Also, let our protests be non-violent. We know President Tinubu is doing his best but we admonish him to hasten the process because Nigerians have found themselves in a situation where everything has gone up.”

On the minimum wage, the PFN President urged the Federal Government to expedite its process, saying “The minimum wage should be implemented quickly and let the refineries in Nigeria work. All hands should be on deck to ensure that the fuel price drops.

“Also, let’s create jobs for our restive youths, and the government should be on their toes on how to make our naira valuable as the lives of the people revolve around our money. The protests are a call that Nigerians are in pain.”
