5 things to know about Super Falcons interim coach Justin Madugu

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced the appointment of Justin Madugu as the interim head coach of the senior women’s national team, Super Falcons on Thursday.

Justin Madugu took over the position, following the departure of Randy Waldrum, who resigned earlier this month citing family reasons.

However, below are five things to know about the newly appointed interim coach of the Super Falcons.

1. Justin Madugu was an assistant coach under the American, Randy Waldrum.

2. He had a short stint with the team last year following Nigeria’s campaign at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

3. Coach Madugu commenced Nigeria’s Paris 2024 Olympic games, and came out victorious against Ethiopia over two legs.

4. He is a CAF A and B licensed coach and has attended different coaching courses like NFF/CAF Football Coaching Course, Tiki Taka Football Development Course, National Football Coach Seminar, and Globacom Premier League International Seminar.

5. Madugu has worked for teams such as Flying Makwada FC Numan (Chief Coach), Makwada FC (Chief/ Head/Assistant Coach), Adamawa United FC (Technical Adviser), Makwada Warriors and Makwada Queens (Technical Adviser/ Team Manager), and FC Taraba (Technical Adviser).
