ABUJA – Impact Beyond School Walls (iBSW), a non-profit organization, has announced that it has positively impacted over 4,000 youths in Akwa Ibom State, focusing on personal and capacity development.

As part of the initiatives marking its two-year anniversary, iBSW has provided sanitary pads to 2,000 girls across various schools in the state.

According to Emem Ebong Eno, Founder and Creative Director of iBSW, the organization has engaged in voluntary services, including youth empowerment conferences for innovative young entrepreneurs, over the past two years.

In a statement on Friday, she expressed the organization’s commitment to striving for sustainable solutions and addressing the challenges faced by individuals, communities, and society at large.

Eno explained that iBSW’s “Pad-A-Girl Project” aims to promote menstrual hygiene among teenage girls.

She disclosed that the organization has also implemented other projects, including the “Edu-Enhancement Project,” which supports back-to-school initiatives in various communities, benefiting over 200 children.

Additionally, Eno noted that iBSW’s “Project 100 Girls in Tech” has provided essential ICT training to 100 girls, with data allowances and mini-grants awarded to the top three participants.

Extending its impact to boys, iBSW launched the “Choose Life Campaign” and convened the first “Boy Child Conference” in Akwa Ibom State, attracting over 400 boys from 11 schools.

Eno mentioned that the conference aimed to foster a balanced society by promoting gender inclusivity and encouraging boys to make priority-based decisions.

Other initiatives include the “Food for Hunger Relief Project,” which supported 50 impoverished families and 30 street children with food items during the 2022 Christmas season.
