In fostering unity and cultural exchange, the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ògíamẹ̀ Atuwatse III CFR and his wife, Her Highness, Olori Atuwatse III, graced the annual Gani Festival in Daura, Katsina State.

The event, hosted by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq, showcased the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The Gani Festival, steeped in centuries of old tradition, was a vibrant celebration of culture and valor. The festival featured a colorful parade of regal title holders adorned in traditional attire, riding on horseback to the rhythmic beat of drums. The procession was a spectacle that captivated onlookers and highlighted the enduring spirit of the Daura people.

His Majesty Ògíamẹ̀ Atuwatse III, speaking on behalf of the Warri Kingdom, expressed admiration for the Gani Festival and the cultural heritage of Daura. He emphasized the importance of such events in fostering unity and understanding among Nigerians. “The Gani Festival is a testament to the beauty and diversity of our rich cultural heritage across Nigeria and beyond “.
