In an era where many do not get value for their money, Advantage Health Africa, a digital health solutions company, recently announced the relaunch of myAdvantage, a product that gives subscribers 100 refunds if they don’t make use of the former services.

Speaking of the product, originally launched in February 2022, which offered individuals medication coverage for over 30 common ailments, including chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension, the Founder and CEO of Advantage Health Africa, Abimbola Adebakin emphasised that trust in the quality of their services was the reason for the offer.

Her words: “The relaunch is aimed at addressing a major barrier to healthcare access—the concern that money spent on health coverage is wasted if the individual doesn’t fall sick.

“We’re introducing a policy of full refunds after 365 days for anyone who doesn’t use their plan during the year.

“This has never been done before, and it is a bold statement of the trust we have in the quality of our service,” Adebakin said.

She added: “The product provides access to free medication, teleconsultations, and even state health insurance coverage. The service covers ailments ranging from malaria to more complex chronic diseases, ensuring that subscribers are not left out of pocket.

“Advantage Health Africa, already known for being a pioneer in digital healthcare with its online pharmacy platform, has a long-standing history of innovation in Nigeria’s healthcare sector. We were the first to establish an online pharmacy seven years ago, and we’ve continued to break new ground with initiatives like myPharmacy, a franchise chain of pharmacies.”

Also speaking at the event in Ikeja, Lagos, the Senior Vice president of Market Access, Olawale Oladigbolu, said that the goal of the product was to bring quality healthcare to Nigerians.

“Our goal is to provide quality health care and quality nurses to Nigerians where everybody, irrespective of their social status, can get access to health at a cheap rate.

“We are going to work with members of the national union of road transport workers, colleges of education and universities staff, and also politicians to ensure that people have access to a good quality health care system. Myadvantage will provide coverage medicine access.

“Again people that will subscribe to the product will have free consultation with our account providers pharmacies, such as medical doctors and other healthcare professionals in the house through telecommunication meaning. This means that while in the comfort of their home, they will be able to talk to a care provider.

“So subscribers to myAdvantage who don’t use it throughout one year, are going to have their money back no story, money back guarantee with all our products,” He said.
