Chelsea midfielder, Cole Palmer has been nominated for the Player of the Month in the English Premier League for September 2024.

Palmer started the month of September like a house on fire for the Blues, registering 6 goal involvements in 4 games.

He set up Senegalese international, Nicolas Jackson to score his side’s goal in a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, and recorded a goal as they dispatched West Ham United by three unreplied goals at the London Stadium.

The English international also displayed a scintillating performance for Enzo Maresca’s side after scoring four times in Chelsea’s 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League over the weekend.

Liverpool’s Luis Diaz also made the list of nominees after scoring four goals for the Reds in the month of September in the Premier League.

Diaz achieved the feat by scoring a brace twice, with the first coming against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United, and feeding off Mohamed Salah on both occasions in a 3-0 result at Old Trafford.

The Colombian international recorded the other brace in a similar scoreline against Bournemouth at Anfield, and Darwin Nunez also found the back of the net to make it three.

The nominees also include Harvey Barnes, Gabriel Magalhaes and Dutch midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch.

Others are Everton’s Dwight McNeil, Raul Jimenez, and Ollie Watkins, who also netted four times for Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in September.

Recall that Erling Haaland won the Player of the Month for August 2024 after scoring seven goals in three matches.
