The feeling of inadequacy washes over you as you witness a group of Muslims praying under a makeshift bamboo stall. Walking through the hinterland, you feel a pang of nausea seeing unfinished mosques while Muslims observe their salat beneath the rain and scorching sun.

During Ramadan, it is vital to provide iftar, especially to fasting Muslims in need, and to care for the widows and orphans among us. This was the intention behind establishing our foundation a few years ago. Over the past couple of years, we have successfully provided iftar for underprivileged Muslims and supported widows in meeting some of their needs.

To sustain this effort, we have identified several unfinished and abandoned mosques, just as there is growing number of indigent Muslims that could benefit from the iftar programme. We therefore, seek the support of compassionate Muslims to address the challenges of aiding the needy and completing these mosque constructions.
