Nat’l Youth Confab: Imumolen calls for credible, competent delegates

Prof. Chris Imumolen, the youngest presidential candidate in the 2023 General Election and the National Chairman of the Accord Party, has praised President Bola Tinubu for initiating a National Youth Confab.

Imumolen emphasized the need for credible and competent delegates to be selected from various sectors across Nigeria to lead and participate in the conference.

According to Imumolen, the confab should be comprised of youths who have excelled in their careers, regardless of their political, religious, or ethnic backgrounds.

He highlighted that the focus of the gathering should not be on political party loyalty but on addressing the pressing issues that affect Nigerian youth, who account for over 60% of the country’s population.

“This confab should not be seen as another opportunity to reward political loyalists,” Prof. Imumolen stated.

“It should involve the selection of innovative, dynamic, and forward-thinking youths—critics and advocates alike—committed to drafting a progressive path for the Nigerian youth.”

Imumolen further stressed the importance of implementing the outcomes of the conference quickly to meet the needs and aspirations of Nigeria’s young population.

He urged that the conference be treated as a true national assembly aimed at fostering solutions for the youth, not just as a party-centered event.
