Jos – Senator representing Plateau North in the National Assembly, Pam Dachungyang, has described the Court of Appeal judgment, which affirmed him as the duly elected Senator, as a divine providence.

Reacting to the judgment delivered in Abuja, the Senator said he was not an ambitious man, but God made the feat possible; hence, he will value the choice and work for the good of his constituents.

The Senator, in a statement issued in Jos on Friday and signed by Eric Dung, his Special Assistant on Media, expresses gratitude to God and commended the judges for demonstrating outstanding legal prowess.

His words, “Senator Pam Dachungyang has expressed deep appreciation to God Almighty for the resounding victory at the Court of Appeal, Abuja, which upheld the decision of the Election Petition Tribunal that earlier gave judgment in his favor.

“Senator Dachungyang used the opportunity to commend the judges who sat over the matter from the Trial Tribunal up to the Appellate Court, noting that they have demonstrated outstanding legal prowess, discipline, and respect for the rule of law; and, by extension, the voices of the majority of the people of Plateau North.

“May I also use this time to sincerely appreciate the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang for his unwavering support, our leader, Da Jonah Jang, my Party, the Action Democratic Party, ADP, and the good people of Plateau North Senatorial District for the support throughout this period, I am eternally grateful.”

Projecting into the future as far as his representation is concerned, Senator Dachungyang explained “I am not an ambitious man. It is divine providence that brought me to where I am today, and by the grace of God, I will not do anything that will be to the detriment of the people of Plateau North and, indeed, the State in general who overwhelming gave me this mandate.”
