YENAGOA—Former governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, has said  that the All Progressives Party, APC  and the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, were strange parties to the Ijaw people, noting that the “APC has no agenda for the Ijaw people.”

Alamieyeseigha, during the formal inauguration of the Governor Dickson Campaign secretariat and campaign team, described the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the only party that has identified with the dreams and aspirations of Bayelsans and the Ijaw people.

The former governor, who noted that the PDP has always identified with the aspirations of the Ijaw people as manifested with the emergence of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as the president of the country, charged the campaign team to unite and be courageous to succeed in the task ahead.

Charging the campaign organisation headed by a member of the House of Representatives,  representing Sagbama/Ekeremor  federal constituency, Chief Fred Agbedi, Governor Seriake Dickson described the campaign team as political juggernauts and tacticians, who were carefully selected, and urged them not to leave any stone unturned in ensuring  that the PDP comes out victorious at the December 5, governorship election.

“If you fail, then we have all failed. This election is not about me as a person, but about the future of our state, therefore, we must work hard and ensure that the PDP wins. This election is a must win for the PDP,” Dickson said.
